Being the warm weather, barefoot on the grass & hedgerows spilling with flowers sort of girl that I am... it's not surprising that I'm already fantasising about spring. I thought it was high time to share the truly beautiful wedding of Lydia & Rich with you all on the blog, bathe in the nostalgia of all these colourful blooms and reminisce about the first really sunny weather day of the year. The dreamy light has got me all excited for the spring that's yet to come. Calm down Sarah, we've got winter to go yet! 

A Recipe for a Great Confetti Shot: Some Helpful tips for Couples & Photographers

Everyone has their favourite shot of the wedding day, photographer and couples alike. My personal favourite is the confetti photograph - notoriously tricky, quite adventurous and easy to mess-up trying to get 'the perfect version' of this shot... plus there's lots of running backwards blindly involved for the photographer so this is always the shot that gets my adrenaline going. Worries go through my brain like fireworks - 'What if absolutely none of them focus? What if I trip over? Am I annoying being in their path? and the ultimate... what if some awful act of misfortune freezes up my camera and the shutter just doesn't go off'? and yet, this is one of my absolute favourite parts of the wedding day. 

A Breath of Fresh Air...

So as you've probably noticed by now, there's been a fair few changes around here! I've had a few questions flying around at me and I realised - It was time to make a little post to update you all on Salt & Sea Co. and the changes that have been underway. 

Lydia & Gerwyn: An Elegant Summer Wedding at Bath's Prior Park

Back in June, I had the delight of photographing this beautiful couple in the iconic Prior Park, in Bath, Somerset. Having been a student in Bath and a National Trust member, this Park was one of my favourite haunts during my student days but I never imagined I'd be fortunate enough to photograph a wedding here! When Lydia and Gerwyn told me their venue choice, it blew me away. 

Their day was a hazy, overcast one but the clouds were a welcome shield from the intense June heatwave that had descended upon us. The haze cuddled the city in a beautiful, soft light and provided a gorgeous backdrop for this couple and their enormous wedding party to celebrate their marriage.
